About

A workshop with pieces of wood on shelves and power tools all around.

Wood brings out the maker in us. We followed the impulse as children to cut, carve, nail together found pieces of wood to make something wonderful. I am fortunate to have returned to this beautiful material. Now, knowledge and skill are my main tools in working with it. Having a background in architecture, I approach woodworking alert to the need of matching competent design with technical proficiency in execution. The context is important and never to be ignored; however, within it I strive for simplicity, aware that what I build is a setting for living and it need not be cluttered.
